When I left England many years ago to find a different life in Napier, many of my fellow countrymen thought I was
mad! I gave up a secure well-paid job, an opportunity to buy into a partnership, a small semi detached house just
outside London and, most importantly, my loyalty to tradition.
"It won't be the same," I was warned... "they're a strange lot those Kiwis,"..."it's all - she'll be right," (don't worry
about a thing)... and "jandals" (loose fitting comfortable footwear). It seems my well intended advisers were coming from
the fundamental position of simply being scared of the unknown. Hey let's face it, you travel half way around the world
to find a country full of rugby fanatics (men and women), passionately determined to experience everything life can offer
the human soul.
Well count me in! I have now lived nearly a third of my life in this beautiful place and discovered there is an alternative
to tradition. It's called Napier life, and it's all about finding the perfect balance of working in a vibrant environment
and enjoying the consistent pleasures of a remarkable family lifestyle.
But don't take my word for it....after you have read the articles on this website you will start to see what I mean. In fact
why not check out some of our Napier Diary Entries.
So join us in a celebration of life and all it has to offer, after all this is Napier Life.
